Once again I had the absolute pleasure of working on a project for an AGF Lookbook. This time around it was for the “Bookish” fabric collection. “Bookish” is a fabric collection designed by Sharon Holland for Art Gallery Fabrics. It will remind you of being curled up in a comfy spot with your favorite book and a warm drink. I love all the prints such as classic books, romantic florals, bookmarks and readers (glasses) in a beautiful color palette of burgundy, rose, teal and gold.
This time around I was asked to make a Home Decor item. The production designer and I decided on a quilted pillow pattern which turned out beautifully in this gorgeous collection. Little did I know that the final outcome would be a 27″ x 27″ pillow. I must say I was pleasantly surprised even though I had no idea where I was going to put a pillow of that size!
While trying to determine where this pillow was going to go, I came to the conclusion that it was way too gorgeous to hide away in an unused bedroom. I decided to remove the pillow form, install some grommets and hang it on the wall of my studio. I have been trying to slowly and thoughtfully decorate my studio with beautiful artwork and meaningful items. This pillow cover was the perfect addition. I made it myself and as a librarian, what better fabric collection than “Bookish” to convey my aesthetic? Thank you, Sharon Holland and Art Gallery Fabrics, for this lovely collection.
